I love the clay sculptures and descriptions of the clay made for this!! I like how you worked the mediums themselves into the story, and used them like props; the craft of playing, the playing by crafting, and where the self lies. The soundtrack (and lovely main menu music) has a nice melancholy feel to it.
from the very first peek into the main menu, i am greeted with a nostalgic sense of comfort. the music is slow and melodic, the chalk paints this gorgeous silhouette against the warm yellows, reds, oranges. moving forward, i am welcomed into a childhood summer, the sun slowly setting - and then interrupted all at once.
i love the textures, the physicality that reaches out to me from behind the screen, the scrawled notes on ripped pieces of paper, the gorgeous animation of cat's cradle. the clay gives me this sense of a game like hylics, which you use just as well in a sense of creepiness but also peculiarity that draws me in wanting more.
i so wanted to this be longer - i will really eagerly be looking forward to the extended version. such a lovely little piece of art <3
YES hylics was a big touchstone for me in this project. I love how that game presents a bizarre little world and asks you to move through it, even when it doesn't make logical sense. And I think the tactility of that game is what helps ground it and keep it from flying too far off into the unknown.
i will try to deliver more when my army of small dolls return from the clay mines 🫡
the color, the symbolism, the warmth, the emotion ... !! a really delicate and special piece of art. i feel like warm clay. thanx for including my tunes ^_^
amazing!! fantastic!! beautiful and bittersweet and hurting and so so so tactile. this game is squishing me up and reimagining my form and pulling out my string by the arm-length. Astounding work! I want to eat this and for it to make me sick
